In this video, I demo the WOPR Games Launcher Script running on Omarchy OS 3.2.
This script is designed to fix one of the biggest issues with Omarchy: Steam games do NOT run on a clean install, especially on AMD and Intel Arc, because the drivers and dependencies simply aren’t there.

The WOPR launcher solves this by installing everything required to make AMD, NVIDIA, and Intel ARC GPUs work properly with Steam, Proton GE, and GameScope.

The benchmarks in this video are NOT the focus — they simply prove the script works across different GPUs.

🔹 What the WOPR Games Launcher Script Does

(All shown directly in the transcript)
• Installs all missing Steam dependencies for AMD, Intel ARC & NVIDIA
• Installs Gamescope
• Installs Proton GE
• Installs GameMode
• Installs extra gaming drivers (Mesa, Wine bits, 32-bit libs, Vulkan, etc.)
• Adds Super + Shift + S → launch GameScope (Steam Deck-style)
• Adds Super + Shift + R → exit GameScope
• Optional CachyOS kernel (you skipped it because it doesn’t improve much)

The script is designed to be simple:
Download → Make executable → Run → Everything just works.

🔹 Why You Need This Script

From your transcript:
On a clean Omarchy install:
• Dredge does NOT run
• Ball Pit does NOT run
• Night Rain does NOT run
• Steam opens in a broken window and games fail to launch

With the WOPR script installed:
• All three games launch instantly and run correctly inside GameScope.
• Proton GE appears immediately in Steam compatibility settings.
• Drivers and Vulkan are correct for each GPU vendor.

The benchmarks simply show that the script unlocks fully playable gaming on every GPU.

🔹 Benchmarks (Only to Demonstrate the Script Works)

Black Myth: Wukong (1440p Medium)

• AMD 9060 XT → 137 FPS
• Intel Arc B580 → 62 FPS
• NVIDIA 5060 Ti → 160 FPS

Shadow of the Tomb Raider (1440p Max)

• All GPUs → 59 FPS
(GameScope appears to cap at ~60 FPS)

Borderlands 4 (High + FSR)

• NVIDIA → Smooth and stable
• AMD → Good FPS but heavy stutters
• Intel → Similar to AMD but worse spikes

These numbers are included ONLY to demonstrate that the script enables all three GPUs to launch and run games successfully.

🔹 General Observations From the Transcript

• Intel Arc is still promising but needs more driver maturity
• AMD performs well but sometimes stutters
• NVIDIA is the most stable overall
• All three cards become fully playable once WOPR installs missing packages
• Moving a games SSD between systems causes shader compilation spikes
• Omarchy 3.2.1 will include Vulkan backend selection

💬 Final Thoughts

The benchmarks are interesting, but the script is the point.
Without it, Omarchy cannot run most games — especially on Intel Arc or AMD.
With the launcher installed, everything works:
• Steam
• GameScope
• Proton GE
• Drivers
• Fullscreen scaling
• Keybinds
• And actual games launching

This script fixes Omarchy’s gaming gap and turns the distro into a practical gaming OS for all three GPU vendors.
