Windows 11 vs Bazzite – DOOM: The Dark Ages Benchmark Comparison
In this video, I compare DOOM: The Dark Ages running on Windows 11 vs Bazzite, the gaming-optimised Linux distro based on Fedora with SteamOS features built in. Using the same hardware setup, I benchmark both operating systems side-by-side to see how they perform with this demanding new shooter.
Thanks to the Mesa 24.1.5 update, the game now runs on Bazzite – which wasn’t possible before – but some of the performance features still don’t work correctly under Linux. While general gameplay is smooth and frame rates are strong, there are a few missing elements that make the Windows experience slightly more complete for now.
🧪 Benchmarks include:
• FPS comparisons
• Load times
• Visual quality
• Stability
• Feature support differences
• Real gameplay feel on both platforms
🔧 Full system specs are shown in the video.
Whether you’re testing the limits of Linux gaming or just curious how Bazzite compares to Windows 11 in a modern AAA title like DOOM: The Dark Ages, this video gives you a clear look at what works — and what still needs polish.
